Maybe a work around?
Duplicate the page and on the new page edit content to new language.
Then create a link button that allows the visitor to choose which version of the site to follow?
Hope this helps?

Answer
That would work for content but maybe not for things included in the Page Master. Think a new site may be required for complete foreign language service. The Copy site option is back in control panel which should carry over all major format to a new domain name.
Hope this helps.

Answer
Do what Jody suggested. But only put images and the links to swap between languages on the pagemaster, One half the site use the moonfruit menu, Pages > Hide menu on page. Then create a new one with in text or link buttons for the other language.
hope this helps

Hi Megamovie,
The text is embedded within the Flash, so Google can't access it to translate.
In English and Spanish using the work around of copying each page and changing the text.

Pippahaines, thanks for your help.
I have done this (some time ago) but I've got stuck when I wanted to make a subdomain and join two "pages/sites" onto one domain name. Look www.visa-agency.biz and www.novi-sad.sm4.biz I need them on the same domain name i.e. when I link english to this other site new page has to have for example www.visa-agency.biz/en
Can you help?

Since thid pertains to subdomains somehow. I was wondering how I could add a subdomain to a page on my site, such as: www.blog.siteurl.com and have it link to either a page on my site or to a site outside of Moonfruit: Big Cartel, Blogspot, WordPress, etc. I've seen some people from Moonfruit do it, but I've been wondering for some time now.

Hi alivesinceforever,
Subdomains can be set up in that way if you have access to your domain's DNS settings. Is your domain with us or someone else?
Thanks,
Gary

I wanted this site in both English and Czech languages www.luxuryprague.com. More languages would have been preferable but no translator widget exsists at the moment that can access and translate flash content pages. Another consideration was that since this is a commercial site then the translation has to be perfect. Most, if not all, translator widgets are machine translators and so translations always need checking, although for some sites it could be considered that any translation, even if not grammatically correct, is better than nothing.
The solution........ I copied the English language site and purchased a new domain name for it www.luxuryprague-cz.com. To my suprise everything, including pictures links etc was copied over to this new site (I didn't have to purchase a new site since I am allowed up to 5 with my subscription).
Then I simply used Goggle translate to change the English to Czech language. I had two tabs open in my browser, Google translate and the site and simply swopped between them to copy and paste the English then back to the site with the translated text. Again, to my suprise it only took a few hours.
As I have said, this is a commercial site and so accuracy of translation is important but I am fortunate to have a friend in the Czech republic so I have given them access to edit the site and they are in the process of checking each page for accuracy and modyfying words as the need arises.
Once this job is completed additions will of course need to be done in both languages and checked by my friend but at least I now have the site in two languages.
I have added country flags in the page master so they appear on each page and linked them to each of the sites respectively so visitors can select thier preffered language.
Everything was accoumplished in one day and was up and running perfectly, so thanks to Moonfruit.
Now we have to wait for Google, Adobe or somebody else to come up with a machine translator for flash sites :-))))))
Google Chrome does auto-translation already. Or is that only for non-Flash sites?

Moonfruit advertises that they automatically generate a cell-phone version of their websites. I would think this version is non-flash and that this version would lend itself to translation. Is there a way to view the cell-ready website?

I would be be very, very wary of using Google Translator, (or any other automatic translator), unless you want your customers rolling in the aisles with laughter. The translator is great if you've already got knowledge of the language you are using, and you are stuck on a word or want to check on a phrase but for a whole peice of text it doesn't replace the knowledge of a human that speaks the language. In my experience there are many people (possibly potential customers?) that will not take your website seriously with even the odd spelling or punctuation mistake in your own language. It makes you look unprofessional, and maybe even dodgy. If your website is the first thing that someone finds out about you, surely you want to make a good impression and show that you pay attention to detail? If you're serious about your business, hire a copywriter and/or a professional translator, and don't risk your reputation!

I would do this;
I would go to yahoo answers; or language forum and ask for the translation. Compare this to google translation to verify; roughly.
Then on your website you'll want to add English // Spanish // German ETC ETC ETC
Add this at the top, slightly dull/hidden but visible (not intruding) clicking one of these will just be a link to copies of the pages' but with different languages.

How about copying the website > using the new site with a sub-domain (english.mysite.com) > translate the pages - Do this for each language?
Maybe abit complicated for larger websites - but certainly good enough for the smaller ones :-)
