I have to say that the most important change for me is longer pages. This has been a problem for me in the past, I had to split my pages in two and considering I have a free option 15 pages were running out quick. I was still able to find a way around that issue , but this lates extension on page lengths will make it a lot easier. I haven't tried this yet, but it seems like we will be able to change moonfruit address as well. This will come handy if someone changes their mind about name of their site after they already finished creating it.

On the other hand , I was not impressed with new design for moonfruit web site. The old one looked cleaner and easier to navigate. New one looks busy and less professional, knowing how great moonfruit tools are I was little disappointed to see what they came up with. Background graphics and colors just don't do it for me.

It could be that I am one of those people who don't like changes, but that was my first impression when I logged in moonfruit this morning.

I too thought the previous design was clean, bright, easy and efficient to use. I loved it.  In this new format, if I didn't know moonfruit and put a lot of effort and work into my sites, not only would I not know what it offered, but I would be interested.

With my sites, I have simply had to decide to delete two sites  (a lot of work wasted). I had only 16 sites, but it is now so cumbersome to move between each one that less is more! It seems that 'keeping up with ? fashion' rather than what is needed for efficiency is change for the dubious reasons.

Sorry Moonfruit, I really don't like the new site layout and the forum is far from simple and easy to navigate which I think is so important when it comes to the customer support side of things, fair enough to keep the front end all jazzy to get new customers.

Moonfruit  First I love you.  But... your new look has an unprofessional and outdated 80"s big hair design.  The old look with the M with the circle around it was so much better.  I recently sent a friend to Moonfruit.com and they thought the overall look of the main page looked uninviting and they left before they even looked around.   They went with Shopify.    I would look into changing it back to a cleaner easier to navigate style.   Either way I am sticking with you and will continue to recommend you but I have to preface to people to ignore your gaudy look.

I am not sure about the new design but my main gripe is that I can't work out what you get for your money.  On the upgrade page it suggests that from free to £36 per annum you can't have a members area (Members only to view these pages), but since I have upgraded to the £36 deal I have this facility, albiet three pages only???  Also it restricts how many boxes you can have on a form which rediculous!!  Also I have tried to cancel my subscription so that I am not billed automatically after one year but it won't let me - Whats going on!!! Help!

I think Moonfruit have tried to predict a style that will work for a years into the future and haven't done too bad. It will grow on people. The Forum has been fundamentally changed so you cannot just start a new "topic" as far as I can tell- everything is now at their discretion but looks like they are posting both negative and positive which allows one to keep some faith in them. The big issue for me at present is our gallery tools- fast falling behind others and haven't been upgraded for years (since I started in 2004)- we need better pop up gallery tools, with "next/previous/close" optioins so people can seemlessly move to next pic- in fact why not show off a bit with the Flash and have a button for "play" like on Windows Picture Viewer etc......Moonfruit should be maximizing the Flash side of things and leading the field in image tools/ gallery tools- not falling behind or being stagnant. I notice the new image fill tools for objects such as squares etc - interesting but nothing compared to what Flash could do with the gallery toools. That should be a top priority I think. Cohen

Arkdebt- you need to dig up your World Pay confirmation email and login to shopper area to cancel your future pay agreement with them. World Pay is run by RBS and they are experts at making it difficult to pay them only once. Bankers/ %ankers as we all know.

Can't agree more with Jamescng regarding the gallery situation! it's one thing many people have been asking to be upgraded for a long time and the current pop-up gallery is so outdated it's embarrassing! fair enough you can use third party applications but it's not always easy and I'm sure it would not be such a hard thing for Moonfruit to give us an updated  gallery option or two considering it's one of the most used and visually important part of many users sites.

Hi guys, a couple of things.

jamescng, Sorry what do you mean by 'you cannot just start a new "topic"'??? Are you saying, whilst logged in you cannot see an 'Ask a question' button (Site Leaders), 'Add an article' button (General) or 'Suggest an idea' button. Or is it you get an error?

All logged in users should have the ability to create new topics - they just aren't called topics or is that the problem?

scottishcarpgroup, yep we know about the image tools. And I replied to post by jamescng a few moments ago about this. We do need to look at these tools and we will but we have a small matter of a Blog and Shop to push out first. Otherwise a lynching may be on the cards ;-)

But as usual, thanks for the feedback, and if you guys can feedback issues with the forum please do. And I don't mean free-form. Please just regards the not being able to add new topics as this should be very simple for customers to do - like the old one. And if it isn't we need to fix it.

Cheers ~ Walt
