I know that might be difficult, but if not shipping by weight allow to have options for either

A) by purchase amount or

B) by multiple regions

Hi mandyshahida,

You will be glad to know we are planning to release the features of adding shipping cost by purchase amount and by regions along with some other features next week, subject to successful testing.

HTH,

Sharif.

Hi,

I'm sorry but we currently don't have any plan to introduce this option any time soon. But I will pass your comments on to our dev team, thanks for the feedback.

I AM WITH MANDYSHAHIDA AND DJSWAIN1!!! We NEED shipping by weight...or at least a field in the product detail page to add shipping for each individual item. At the moment, our company: www.thecastletonhouse.com is looking to have to switch to another company so that we can ship without losing money.

PLEASE HELP! I love using moonfruit as it allows the users to really add a unique touch/feel to their site, but if we end up losing money due to just the shipping issue, we'll have to join the rest of the cookie-cutter websites out there.

PLEASE COME UP WITH A SOLUTION!!!

Hello traceyfawkes,

Unfortunately this is not something that can be done as the software stands at present. Sorry about that. If you would like this to be considered for future updates to the system, please feel free to add to our Feature Request list:

Who has ever heard of an online shop where you can't do shipping by weight!!!

I've opened a Magento Go account for my online store I'm developing.

Moonfruit are miss selling advertising the online shop function... there are so many key functions missing.

It is not a sorted product it is work in progress and the progress they are making with it is painfully slow!

I'm still using Moonfruit for my main site as I like the ease of editing and the blog function, but an online shop it is not..

Hi,

I'm not sure what you mean by  'miss selling advertising' - could you please clarify? We do offer a free trial to our customers, to allow them to get a good idea of what the software is capable of. I'm sorry to hear that you're disappointed with this feature not being present in our Shop tool for the moment, and you're right, this is indeed a work in progress, as is everything else.

We are constantly adding new features, and we prefer releasing a version of the tool that misses on a few options but still allows most of our customers to work with them. For example the Blog tool doesn't allow you to embed videos yet but this feature will be coming later, yet a lot of our customers have been using it (and the same thing applies to our Shop tool).

Antoine and others whom it may concern-

I'm sure you understand that even we as customers understand what it takes to create/build a website. We understand that it takes time and effort to push forward with the progression of new features and what not. I suppose what Djswain1--and please excuse me if I'm wrong, Djswain1--and the rest of the customers not please with the shopping cart moment as of current version, is that in a way it's backwards.  By that I mean that there's an option to have a flat cart fee with the option of adding "X" amounts of dollars (pounds, etc) for each additional item added to the cart after the first amount. Might I add that shipping comprises of mostly weight and dimensions of the product that is to be shipped?  It seems pretty odd that weight isn't a form field on the details page, and while there is a "Price Range" feature, there isn't a "Weight Range" feature instead.

I have been using moonfruit for well over 8 years now. I've used the site for school projects and assignments, and so I know moonfruit has come a LONG way. I am very pleased to see the direction in which this company is going with their product. My only gripe as of this moment is that focus is put more on the shipping at this point in time rather than bothering with adding the ability to embed videos to a blog.  I don't mean to offend any bloggers, but I only say this as WITHIN moonfruit itself, there are ways around that dilemma.

Please understand, Antoine and other moonfruit staff, that we know you all are working hard to get us the best possible features that will keep our sites/blogs up-to-date with the rest of the cyber world, but offering something like an unfinished shopping cart hurts small businesses like the one we are working on, as well as the ones others such as Djswain1 are working on.

Hi,

Thanks for your input. As I said, a lot of our customers are using the shop tool at the moment - thousands of shops have a been built already and are generating money. The features we brought in first were based on the input from our customer base, we actually used polls to find out which options were most important for our clients. We always use this method to prioritise which features should be brought and in which order. I'm sorry you feel this is damaging to your business, all I can recommend for now would be to use a third party tool instead, such as Ecwid.com for example.

Thanks again for your comments though, if you have any further feedback please let us know.

I really do LOVE your company.

Thanks once again,

Aarushi

Hi agsinteriors/djswain1,

Please refrain from posting unrelated issues in topics such as these as it can become convoluted.

Sorry about putting it in the wrong thread, but couldn't find a thread to attach it to, also am very new to this...please advise for future reference where should one post a 'new' topic in the forum if there's no obvious place to put it ?

Andrew instead of giving a condescending reply perhaps you should do what most other forum moderators do if they believe a post is in the "wrong place"  and that is to move the questions to a new thread and leave a polite message with a link to the new thread...

You might also like to offer assistance using the forum if required or post something useful such as a link to instructions on how to use the forum.

I realised the question was in the wrong forum but as I also have the same issue it seemed logical to respond!

Im using a pc with Google Chrome/windows 7 I will check the results in other browsers.

Hi agsinteriors/djswain,

My sincere apologies if my response had come across as condescending or rude. This was not intentional.

The reason for me responding in this manner was because when unrelated forum posts are posted, a trail of other users with similar issues will post thereafter thus, diverting the attention away from what the actual post was about This can be deemed as misleading and confuses the forum and tracking of issues and requests for us and the customer.

Unfortunately, we can only move the forum post to the correct area forum and cannot move questions within' an existing forum post, to another.

You can post your issues here: http://support.moonfruit.com/forums/223832-help-from-site-leaders

Kind regards,

Andrew
