The colours I am thinking are: brown, creams and golds, maybe navy if it will work.

Most logos are best done simple - Just Google "logo" to see the most successful ones.

HI Samsites - Please check out my website for all the information you need. On the left hand side at the top and bottom of the menu are my ideas for two logos. The first is a B in the shape of a pregnant bump and breast with a lower case e in the bump representing the Baby and an f down the back (b - bumps, birth, e = embrace, emily and f = families, fackrell) the second one is a more complex version of the e. I like this. Colours are dark purple, dusty purple (heather) and teal blue. I hope this helps. My email address is on my website.

Unfortunately my old PC broke, I lost the logos I designed. I am designing them again now (2nd time lucky?), and I expect to have them ready in a few hours. I will need e-mail addresses to send them too of-course. 

Due to lots of requests I will deal with them all before I open for new requests. Please don't request until I have reposted saying I am accepting them. Working on emilyfackrell's now. sivikoo, I couldn't make a decent logo with that information.

This would be amazing if you could help me with my logo. I am starting up a small website to sell my wares! I am making jewellery and kind of shabby chic type items for the home. They are hand made and used from recycled materials. I have a business card, which is dark purple, quite elegant and has a sketched picture in the corner. Don't buy your business cards from Vistaprint - there very poor quality, not cut straight and not the normal size of an business card - or so we have found on two batches so far!!

Try Moo print or Good print there abit more expensive but remember its your business we're talking about - or order an see for yourself :-)

Free work just leads to more free work fella.

If you're looking to build a portfolio or get experience look for bad company logos in your local area.  Read a bit about the industry and generate a few logos for different sectors that way.  You may then be able to pitch you work to the company  a n d   m a k e   s o m e  m o n e y  !  Pitching your product is going to be as important as the design skill if you're going self-employed-solo-mio.

I'm saying this as when I started out I did the same and realised I let myself get mugged.  I've got hindsight - I'd like to share it as foresight!

Whilst I do consider myself an experienced Photoshop user, I have reached a heavy crisis these past few months. I always had a problem in logo creation and when it came to choosing fonts and colors, I would just nauseate on all the choices.

Recently, I designed a website named Descent (descent.gr) it is based on Drupal. The theme is mountain-biking in general but since what interests me the most is downhill, it is bending towards that. I will have to say at this point, that the website doesn't host any advertising and there is absolutely no income from it.

I am asking for your help towards designing a descent decent () logo if you have time and ideas for it. What I can offer is possibly a link to your website or anything else that you might ask that resides in the borders of reasoning.
