Hi
I have taken up the Lite option as I wanted to remove the branding however it is still showing on my website, is there normally a delay in this taking affect, I have cleared cache and it is still there.
Also does this option also remove .moonfruit.com from the url as too?

Hi,
Can you let us know what browser you are using? Clearing the cache should normally fix it, and I'm not seeing any branding from here.
It is possible to register a domain name for your site; this will allow you to have an address without .moonfruit.com in it.
HTH,
Gary
I am using google Chrome , I did clear cache a few times but still didnt fix it.
I have already bought the domains so cant register them.
Hi,
Did you check the time limit for the cache clearing? It usually defaults to a recent period, but it's generally best to set it back to 'The beginning of time' for this.
HTH,
Gary
OK just tried clearing cache again and the branding on page has gone :)
I am a bit disappointed however that it says on Lite that it removes moonfruit branding, if its showing on url then this is still branding in my eyes.
Hi,
That's not part of our branding, this is the default address we give you when you set up your site. Without it you wouldn't be able to access your site at all. You can replace it if you have your own domain name, as Gary suggested.

I am a bit confused, I do own the domain.
cant see anywhere to change it, either on hosting site or on moonfruit
Hi,
I can't see any domain name in your account at the moment. Did you purchase it through a third party service?
Antoine
I see you have linked your domain now to you site.
You seriously need to edit your images before you launch your site. Your home page is about 30MB!!!!
Dj
I bought the domain before I found moonfruit Antoine
Thanks papa I have reduced the image size and page was still slow so have ditched the slideshow ;)
To stop it showing moonfruit in the URL bar, you would normally be able to make la.weddingcars.co.uk your preferred address in the Admin tab of the toolbar but I'm not sure how it would work if your domain name isn't held by moonfruit. Transferring the name to moonfruit would solve the problem if you haven't already done so.
You can use the domain as preferred site address even if it's not hosted with us, as long it's correctly pointing to our servers obviously.

I am new to the world of websites, well the business end of them anyway, sorry its all a bit of a learning curve to me, I thought I was doing ok obviously not lol.
Hi,
I've just seen you have a ticket open for this - I'll reply to you through there shortly, as it's a different problem.
HTH,
Gary
Thanks Gary, Almost sorted ;)
Incidently To answer my own initial question it awas a delay at my end and Lite package works a treat, just got a DNS issue to tweak and all is good, you guys are tops ;0)
