Hi,
Any news on a fix for the thumbnail problem when sites are shared on Facebook etc? It's now Feb 15 and I have not been able to share my correct home page image on FB yet, even though I updated it on January 31. I seem to recall having exactly the same problem about a year ago.
Thanks,
Rob

Hi,
I'm afraid this is still being looked at - I will request an update from our Sysadmin team, but they are currently dealing with a filesystem problem that has taken greater priority. However, this hasn't been forgotten about.
HTH,
Gary
This ticket has been closed by Moonfruit and the problem still hasn't been resolved after 3 weeks
I really need this issue sorting please too? I have been trying to use links to tell people about the sitr, however the thumbnail is VERY old and isn't a clear representation of my site. I don't want people to see this or to be pasting links to others showing this. Please help!
Hi guys,
A fix for this problem was pushed out on Monday, so screenshots are being updated. There is currently quite a large backlog, but your preview images should be updated automatically within the next 48 hours.
HTH,
Gary
It's now Friday and nothing has changed.
Hi,
I had replied to your last ticket but you never got back to me. I assumed the issue was resolved.
I've just re-generated a preview for your site. Could you please let me know if it still hasn't changed in about an hour?
Antoine
I did reply to the ticket to say the problem had not been resolved, then I got an email saying the ticket had been closed, so I replied to say the same thing. The thumbnail has now updated, many thanks for that. People should now finally be able to share my Feb 1st updated front page image, albeit Feb 24th now and I'm only six days away from my March 1st front page update. Fingers crossed for next time.
Hi,
No problem, the issue should now be resolved so hopefully you won't have this problem again. Let us know if you do though.
Antoine
im still having this issue.....
Hi,
Can you let us know where you are seeing an out-of-date thumbnail? The one we have on the system seems to be correct now.
Thanks,
Gary
The old thumbnails are still appearing when the links are shared on social networking sites, but I think this may be due to those sites being a little slow to crawl ours? Everything seems fine at this end.
Hi,
That probably is the case, particularly with Facebook. You can use the Facebook Debugger to force an update at their end, but I'm afraid I don't know of any other such tools.
HTH,
Gary
I updated my site a couple of weeks ago and am still seeing the old thumbnail when i log into moonfruit as well as if i try and share my website on facebook. Please help!
Jenna
That did the trick instantly Gary. Many thanks.
Hi Jenna,
I have sent through a request to update your preview image - this should be updated within the next hour.
HTH,
Gary
The problem now is, Facebook shows this:
http://sgsite.t83.net/
Instead of this:
www.thesoulguy.com/
my issue is on facebook.
is not showing nothing that is on my page...what it is showing is a template.
Hi bananamouse,
It looks like Facebook is not correctly linked to your website. Please consult FAQs->Facebook Connect about linking via a preferred site address.

Hi youngfade,
I've opened ticket: 2012022801001115 for you, so that we can investigate more efficiently.

Thanks Geoff,
I added the preferred site address about 6 months ago, but when it dawned on me what was happening yesterday and I went to check, the box was empty, so I added the preferred address again. Facebook is now linking to the correct url, but I thought you might find the attached screen shot interesting - it's showing the old thumbnail again now.
Hi bananamouse,
I've attached what I see on our system - it seems to be the latest thumbnail.
Geoff
That's what I see on my dashboard too, but Facebook has somehow reverted to the old thumbnail when sharing the link after I used the debugger. Must be a glitch at their end. Thanks again Geoff.
