Hi,

We should be able to help you speed up the loading of your site. Can you let us know what kind of Internet connection you have, and paste the results from this page please?

Thanks,

Gary

Hi Guys,

To look into this further please could you provide me with further information.

Could you please clarify which pages you are currently having issues with and how long they take to load?

Thanks,

Richard

I have timed the full start up from hitting enter (after typing in the url) to full load up of each of the following home pages

http://www.karengillingham.com/  8 seconds

http://bernieboots.moonfruit.com/ 7 seconds

http://www.bbphotoweddings.com/ 7 seconds

I have virgin 10mb broadband soon to upgrade to 20mb. Every other website I accessed on the web loads up in a matter of seconds. The delay makes each site look like it doesn't work or is unprofessional. I have kept home pages mainly text based and any image used is less than 300kb.

Could you please give me a reason as to why the start up is so slow?

Thanks

Brian

I've just tested the http://www.karengillingham.com/ url at http://www.scamadviser.com which usually gives an accurate speed reading. Although the site speed reads as very fast, the site itself comes up as suspicious and I've noticed this with quite a few of the sites hosted at moonfruit. This scam advisor site seems to be very popular at the moment and it's posted all over social networking sites such as Facebook etc, so perhaps moonfruit should have a word with scam advisor to sort this problem out, as it could be detrimental to commerce sites hosted here.

Many thanks for this info bananamouse.  I checked out another of my sites on Scamadviser and the main issue ( deeming my site SUSPICIOUS) seems to be that this UK site appears to have originated from France. I am not sure if moon fruit have their servers in France or something along those lines! It definably looks like something that Moonfruit need to investigate and sort out ASAP.

Notice how free sites such as bernieboots.moonfruit.com appear to have a high trust rating because moonfruit is in the url, yet custom domain names for sites hosted here often read as suspicious.

A client has contacted me today about this exact issue and I've asked her to contact moonfruit, as I have no explanation why her website (which isn't even open to the public yet) appears as suspicious on scamadviser as www.justvanessa.com yet has a high trust rating at her original moonfruit url www.justvanessa.moonfruit.com I guess she will have to contact you via this forum, as although she is the administrator of her own website on my reseller account, she is unable to open a ticket.

To put scamadviser into context seeing as it seems to be causing such alarm:

1.  Scamadvisor reports its own site as having more than one server and advises caution about trusting it.

2.  The web sites for 10 Downing Street and The White House are also highlighted as having more than one server, and scamadviser advises caution about trusting them.

3.  Since the multi-nationalism of the web site hosting for the UK and US governments, and scamadviser itself, have not resulted in a Suspicious rating, the rating must be more to do with the other reasons - in Just Vanessa's case, the owner's identity being concealed behind a domain name registrar and the fact that the site is less than 6 months old.

4.  Anyone with a concern about their rating can contact scamadviser and ask them to review it.

Hope this helps.

It's probably more to do with the fact that the bernieboots domain is nearly 5 years old.  And also the fact that "the website is deemed to be popular by Alexa with a ranking of 7092".

mrbbphoto - re the speed of your sites:

Karen Gillingham - it looks as if the logo is on each page rather than the pagemaster.  It should speed things up to put the log on the Pagemaster so that it's not loading afresh each time.

BBPhotoweddings - At least one image is over 500kb.  If you use an optimiser such as webresizer.com, you can signficantly reduce the image without reducing quality, and in some cases, the image can be enhanced by optimising it.  Each image should be less than 100kb.  (Small images need only be 30-50kb - eg the pic on Bernie Roberts' site).  Fab wedding photos by the way!

Thanks lotusleaf,

Scamadviser seems to award itself a 100% trust rating. In the case of bernieboots.moonfruit.com, scamadviser is actually rating moonfruit itself. Try this site on scamadviser for example: tracyboness.moonfruit.com - do the results look familiar?

Not even loading up today...this is very disappointing and worrying. £100 plus wasted by the looks of it! Looks like I have not only wasted my time but my money too.

Hello "mrbbphoto"

We have tested your 3 websites and cannot find fault with these. We tested your sites using Safari on a Lion OS, this also appears to be working fine for me.

The next step would be to submit a ticket using the support section, so that we can see your systems details and browser settings. This will allow us to investigate further.

In the ticket please could you provide me with the below information:

-The version of Safari you are using.

-Have you tired using Firefox or Chrome.

-Do you have any add ons or extensions in your browser.

-Have you tried accessing your site from another computer

Once you have created your ticket if you could paste the ticket number in this forum post and I will pick this up for you.

Thanks,

Richard

My website is super slow to load. www.lashbar.net.au , yet the speed rating says it's very fast.

It takes 30-1min to load first page. I've tried to use 5 different locations and different type of browersers and also iPhone and android mobile. all the same slow speed.

I was wandering if I get a package would it be faster or it is not related?

Help .

Hi Tiara,

The domain www.lashbar.net.au is not hosted by us and is not correctly pointing to our server. If you visit your actual site which is http://tiara500.moonfruit.com/  you will notice it would load lot faster.

For instruction of using your domain correctly with your site please visit http://support.moonfruit.com/entries/474956-i-already-own-a-domain-...

Sharif
