Transfer of DNS

Its turning out to be a very long process getting my domain to point to different nameservers.
I see no reason why moonfruit does not allow its users to amend their domains rather than wait for a support request to come back, especially as i have been given a turnaround time of 48 hours.
I own the domain, and if it was purchased direct through Gandi.net i would simply log on and sort it myself.....

Support seem to have replied to you yesterday afternoon, and will ne releasing your handle within the hour - I'm afraid that we are not open outside of UK office hours.
We appreciate that this isn't the easiest way to gain access to your domain names, so we are actually working on a new addition to our website, that will allow more direct control of domains.

If I release your domain name back to Gandi, the registrar, you will be able to log into their site and unlock the domain name for transfer. If you want us to do this, please let us know.

I transferred my domain to another website and now my website won't pop up at all. I tried switching it back to GANDI and still nothing. What happened to my website? I bought the domain name (yd-sc.org) and I can see it when I log into my Moonfruit account, but when I try typing the website address, my website doesn't pop up. What Happened?!

Hi Blair,
I have released your domain back to Gandi - you will receive login instructions shortly. Once you are logged in, you will be able to unlock your domain and access the auth code. There is no charge for this.

I have a domain name registered in Australia and want to transfer it to Moonfruit for hosting. Will Moonfruit accept the hosting on a "lite" plan of my site which is...www.maxelliott.net.au (The site has been built at Moonfruit.

I'm afraid that won't be possible, we don't host .net.au domain names at the moment. You can point your domain name to your site though, you'll find instructions for this on this page.

Hi Blair,
The domain name was released to Gandi, however you are trying to transfer it back to us at the moment. This would be the equivalent of transferring a domain from Gandi to Gandi - it will not work.
I've cancelled the transfer request for you. Could you please explain in details what you're trying to achieve?

miamipink: I see that you have asked for nameservers on another thread. I'm afraid our nameservers can only be used by domains that we actually host.
In your case, the transfer has failed because the current host rejected the auth code that you entered into the order at this end. If you still want to transfer the domain, you'll need to double check this with them. If you don't, let me know and I'll cancel it for you.

I am trying to point the domain http://www.newtonpopplefordweather.co.uk/ to a new server (way from moonfruit) so need to change the nameservers. Please advise how this can happen

To do this, we need to release your domain back to Gandi, the registrar. You will then be able to log into their site and make all the changes you need. This isn't a reversible change, so we'll just need you to confirm before we do it.

Do you want me to cancel this order, or wait until it has finished? If we do the latter, both domains will be released to Gandi.

We'd normally expect a .uk transfer to complete within a few hours - you'll receive a notification from us when it does.
Whether to cancel it now or not really depends on whether you want to manage them both through Gandi - this will be the case if we wait, but if we cancel it now, it will stay on your account here.

It looks like the transfer completed this morning - the delay has interfered with the release plan somewhat, so I have just gone ahead and changed the Tag on newtonpopplefordweather.co.uk - sorry for the delay.

The current status of the domains is as follows:
newtonpopplefordweather.co.uk - Tag changed to 123-REG at 12:00 today
newtonpopplefordweatherlive.co.uk - Transferred to us this morning
Since the Tag was changed for newtonpopplefordweather.co.uk, it looks like the nameservers have been changed to a third party, and then the Tag has been changed back to GANDI - this won't have been us, as we give up all control of the domain when the Tag gets changed away.
With this in mind, I have removed newtonpopplefordweather.co.uk as it currently has no valid DNS records. Your site is available at the new domain of newtonpopplefordweatherlive.co.uk.

Thanks for your comments. We're aware of the issue with the re-captcha, although it's not affecting all browsers (I believe Internet Explorer is the one that's causing the most problems with it). Your domain name is not hosted with us though, so if you need to update its DNS you would have to contact your registrar.
We have some video tutorials and more will be coming out very soon. At the moment they are only on Vimeo but we will be adding them to the Help section, on the site and most likely within the sofware, at a later stage.

Sorry Antoine - you didn't get me. WHAT do I have to enter in 'DNS' at network-solutions (regsitrar of oxygen-clinic.com) to use for that domain my design at oxygen-clinic.moonfruit.com? I just need the DNS linking to my design themplate AT YOURS to enter at NETWORKSOLUTIONS.

Hello can I set the 'nameservers' on my domain instead of a full transfer? The reason I ask is because my domain is locked for transfer for 60 days so in the short term I could change the namservers and configure the site at Moonfruit. Is this even possible using Moonfruit?
