Overall for a freebie service, Moonfruit is GENIUS! BUT I'm having big probs uploading images last night & today (12 Dec 2011).

Image will go through 1st stage of upload but then IMAGE PROCESSING freezes. I've knocked the file size down in Photoshop to 300k or so, so should be fine size wise. HELP MOONFRUIT!!!!!!!!!

Hi,

We wouldn't normally expect the upload process to freeze, even with a large file, so something is wrong here. Can you let us know what browser (and version thereof) you are using, and which version of Flash player you have installed?

Thanks,

Gary

Update: seem to have found a way of working round this, but it's inconvenient.  If IMAGE PROCESSING freezes on you, leave it  ashrt while, then log out completely. Then go back to Moonfruit site and log in to your site, and image should be there.

I suspect the image IS uploading & processing OK, but the window which shows thumbnails of all your images isn't refreshing correctly.

HI Gary,

I'm using Firefox both at home and at work where I tried this again just now. Firefox 3:6;10 for mac at work, not sure at home.

Thanks for confirming - could you also let us know what version of Flash player you have installed? You can find this out by right-clicking on your site, and noting the version number at the bottom of the menu that appears.

Thanks,

Gary

Trying to upload a small image for 2 days, says 100% but does not put it into my files.  Only 29kb, tried 2 computers, chrome and ie9 but all give the same result.  Waited until after update, but still the same.

Hi Jill,

Can you let us know if this affects any other kind of file, or just images?

Thanks,

Gary

Sorry for delay in replying.  Have just tried to upload test text file,  gets stuck saying waiting.  Still cannot upload images getting the 100% message. So looks like its any kind of file, although I only need to upload images.

In response to the flash question, I have version 11,1,102,55 installed. Image upload was buggy tonight... I think the image processing message freezes, but the image does eventually upload in the background. Very hit & miss still I'm afraid (although I did add a dozen or so new images tonight, but it was frustrating not to know the progess of each one). Thanks.

Hi guys.

Thanks for the extra info. I'm afraid it looks like there is a little bit of a problem with the upload service at the moment - files are being uploaded, but the service that resizes images is running much more slowly than it should; 15 seconds is the average processing time at the moment.

Our Development and Sysadmin teams are looking into this at the moment - we should have a patch for it very soon.

HTH,

Gary

I have a problem that seems to be related. Experiencing same problem as other people I've ended up with two of the same image files sat in my library. Both are showing as "image processing..," but when I try to click/select to delete neither activates so I can choose to delete. I can't see any other way to access these files where there's perhaps an easier way to select and delete?

Hi,

It looks like the upload service problems that I described above have occurred again. Our Sysadmin team are now looking into this, and normal service should be restored soon.

Hi,

Can you let us know what kind of image you are trying to upload, and how large it is? Does the same problem happen with smaller or different format images?

Thanks,

Gary

Hi,

I'm afraid this is a known problem with certain sites - apologies for the inconvenience. Our Sysadmin team are working on the problem now, and it should be fixed soon.

I too am having probs uploading onto my site. All was ok a few days ago, but now will not allow me to do this. All I get where the images should be is an empty box, framed in "pink" saying UNABLE TO UPLOAD.

Tony.

Hi,

I'm sorry we missed the last few comments on this thread, not sure what happened there. Are you all still having problems with uploads at the moment?

@omniaintentusgames:  What are the size and file formats of the files you are trying to upload?

Hi I am having trouble uploading any images. In one way it will remain "pending" and the other way I attempted to upload gave me an error '-1'. Please help me out I really like the ease of moving things around and duplicating and other things but this image problem is a pain. Thanks

Hi,

This error is usually seen when your connection is being routed through a proxy server. If you are connecting over a corporate network, this is the most likely cause.

If you are connecting from home, make sure that you do not have a proxy server configured within your browser's settings. Additionally, if you have anti-virus software and/or a firewall, check to make sure that neither are restricting or otherwise inspecting your browser's connection to the Internet. If all of the above fails to solve the issue, it can sometimes be cured simply by clearing your browser's cache.

Hi epikbubble,

You are up to the storage limit on your Free account, so will not be able to upload any more files. I note that you have four .mp3 files taking up 15MB of your 20MB allowance - are they essential?

I advise you check the spellings in the menu tabs before you submit your assignment!

Gary,

I'm running Windows 7 Ultimate 64 Bit, Mozilla Waterfox v11.  I have tried both .png and .jpg picture files.  It completes the upload and then gives the grayed out 'waiting' thumbnail for the picture.  It never goes past this point.  Closing out the 'files' window and opening it again makes no change.  Signing out of moonfruit and back in nets me a result as if the picture was never uploaded.

Hi Curt,

Can you let us know if it happens in another browser? IE is useful for comparison purposes here, but Waterfox doesn't seem too far removed from Firefox.

Can you also let me know if you have any antivirus software installed, particularly if it is integrated into your browser?

Thanks,

Gary
