Browsing over the shop I can't seem to see where you can select a quantity of each item that you have available to sell.

Hi djpapa,
Quantities coming soon, but categories first. We've set up a dedicated FAQ on the ShopBuilder highlighting what's been added and what is coming: What features will be added
We've also added a ShopBuilder wishlist in a separate area for customers to add new requests or like existing ones so that we get a sense of what we should prioritise next. There is already a post so please feel free to like that. Though I'm confident quantities will be one of the next features on the list.

Oh yes I see the post in the wish list. What I mean though is say for instance you only have a selection of single items to sell , a painting for instance/or other unique item/one off designed item ....that you can set a quantity of how many you have available (not how many a customer can order at one checkout) and when 1 is purchased the quantity left available is shown or shows sold out etc.

Hi,
The list is very slightly out of date, but I can confirm that we are planning both stock control (which I believe is what you mean) and the ability to add multiples of the same item to the cart.

Hi Gary
When do you think the stock control feature will be added? Do you have a rough estimate of how long away it is?
Thanks

Hi,
I'm afraid it has slipped a little - we're no longer planning to release it this month, but it is planned for the next 4-6 weeks.

Hi Gary,
I really do need the "shop quantity" option as well as "size" option before i can go live with my site. Please advise of when to expect these features on the shop front.
Many thanks

Hi,
That's already been added. You can now add product variants for every product in your shop.
Hi, Ive updated the shop but I need to put a limit on how much I have to sell. For example I have 5 cakes to sell but I don't want to list it in 5 seperate images. I need to have a limit of how many there is to order so people are not ordering them after they have sold out. Sorry Im a bit confused about it. Thanks again.

Hello do you know when the quantity option will be added? its not right that a shop cant offer qty's. I'm a company selling multiple items at a time, so this is very important to me.
Thank you

Hi,
The option for customers to choose multiples of your items has been available for a couple of months now - they can choose how many of each item to purchase in the Cart view.
What hasn't been added just yet is a stock control feature - this is being worked on, and we hope to have it released very soon.

When will stock control and the quantity freature be added? As it seems to be something you keep putting off, but using this site seems a bit pointless if customers are going to be getting fed up if they order something that is out of stock. Im going to be selling one off hand made pieces, I wont be able to make spares if people order and pay for something that doesnt exsist. I think this is a compusary option when paying to set up a site, one which I would have thought moonfruit would have to offer.
thanks

Hi - For anyone that is keen to go live before this feature becomes available through Moonfruit I would recommend setting up your stock limits directly through your PayPal account. It's really easy to use & it guarantees that you are not selling more of an item than you have in stock. If you are selling one off items all you need to do is set your stock limit to 1 which means no one else can purchase this item after a sale.
I hope this helps.

hi - most disheartened reading the comments above, really in need of the stock settings on moonfruit shop to keep the professional look of the rest of the shop features but reading above makes me wonder if i have paid money for something that is hardly finished and makes me question to what extent moonfruit is commited?? no shop builder guide as yet since last oct (see comments) and reading above - promised stock control features and now days away from may 2012, still nothing, what is the hold up? is this feature coming soon or not? this does not feel like a very professional company/product unfortunately.

Stock control is so important to any of us selling, any idea of a date when quantities will be available. I feel my site isn't as good as it could be without it.

'following ASAP' ??? you have been saying this since october last year. this isnt good enough!!!!
what makes postage options more important when a lot of sellers cant even start selling our products until we have this option!!!!!!!!
i completely agree with liquid frills! clearly moonfruit arent commited enough to their customers to appriciate that we have chose to PAY THEM for something that isnt even usable!! i am a student struggling with finances so decided to set up a site to sell home made accessories to make extre cash. right now i am rapidly loosing out on money as i am paying to make stock, PAYING YOU TO USE THIS SHODDY SERVICE, yet am unable to even launce the site becasuse i dont want to be leading future customers on in believing they can purchase a product when it doesnt exist as they are ONE OFF HAND MADE PIECES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
